Faculty Course Assessment

PURPOSE: A brief report by the faculty who taught the course to assess whether the course has achieved its defined learning outcomes and also to identify opportunities for improvement.

CS Core Course Assessment

PURPOSE: Comprehensive assessment of an individual course that serves as a “quality assurance” tool to ensure that each course is achieving its defined learning outcomes and identify opportunities for improvements.

Every semester for each CS core course offered

Undergraduate Survey (1)

PURPOSE: Solicits students’ views and opinions on the program as a whole, including the degree to which we are achieving our goals and suggestions on how to improve the program (and supporting resources such as Computer Lab facilities, Schedules, Advising…).

Senior Project Evaluation

PURPOSE: Assess students’ ability to communicate effectively and to document and test implementation to meet specifications.

Senior Project Survey

PURPOSE: Solicits feedback from students taking the Senior Project course (CSCI 493) on how successful the course has been in achieving its learning outcomes, and how well prepared they are to achieve some of the program outcomes related to communication and independent work skills.

Exit Interview

PURPOSE: Solicits students’ feedback about the CS program as a whole and suggestions on how to improve the program.
